What a joy it was to photograph Mallory and Brian’s wedding! From their joyful backyard ceremony to the raucous reception at the Royal Glenora Club.
Brian said something that stuck with me during his vows: that Mallory finds joy in any situation. The weather was certainly its own mercurial character on the day, changing from sweltering heat and sun during the ceremony to torrential downpour in minutes. I mean buckets of rain, crashing thunder, and wind that’ll flip your umbrella in the middle of our photos in the river valley. Through laughter, the wedding party ran for the vehicles, as did everyone else enjoying their Saturday in the river valley, and we got stuck in chaos and bad traffic. The group took everything in stride and decided to walk across the bridge to the Royal Glenora in time for cocktail hour.
Brian and Mallory both embodied the spirit ‘finding the joy in any situation.’ It made their wedding day a beautifully authentic story that was a joy to photograph! I am sure it will also make their lives full of joy too!

After getting rained on and stuck in a traffic jam Mallory and Brian walked to their wedding venue umbrellas in hand! The spontaneity of this moment (and this wedding) was such a highlight of the season for me!
