I met Rochelle & Marc at their friend’s wedding which I was lucky enough to photograph. We chatted a bit and I learnt of our shared love of the outdoors. Rochelle & Marc love camping and exploring nature with their blue heeler cross- Hiker- an adventurous gentleman on four legs. Fast forward to this year when they asked me to capture their Helicopter elopement in Nordegg. I was beyond thrilled at the chance and it was so great to connect with these two again. They have been together for a number of years and decided to make it official. In a way that felt authentic to them. And of course in a way that could include their blue heeler, Hiker. I love everything about that. I had such a great time photographing this beautiful couple!

We flew with Rockies Heli Canada out of Nordegg. It was an incredible time and they did such a great job of hosting the couple and us vendors.

When you do engagement photos with one of the coolest couples around (and their super cool dog) on the windiest lake in Alberta.

A Kind Review
I knew this trip in the helicopter was a unique and incredible experience for this couple who love the mountains. My goal is always to create an amazing experience for our clients. That’s why this review from the couple means so much to me:
“We were lucky to meet Lauren while she photographed our friend’s wedding in Edmonton during a beautiful autumn day in October. Upon talking to her there we learned of her love for the outdoors. Becauze of this we’ve seen her work first hand and how great her images turned out so upon my wife and I planning our helicopter elopement, there was no question who to hire for our big day. Our first and only call was to Lauren. Once we contacted her, she set up an interview to discuss plans and was very focused on everything we wanted to strive for, from there she wrote up a contract. Then we just had to meet her on our big day.
It’s amazing to watch someone work that is good at what they do and Lauren knew what was up the moment we landed on top of the mountain and climbed out of the helicopter, this was evident immediately. She made such good use of the natural back drop that we were surrounded by in every direction. It was amazing to this lady work, direct us and position us for the best images. She has a gift of telling your story through her lens. Anyone to hire her should rest assured that you will be well taken care of and happy with the results.”

When Marc forgot the rings in the Helicopter! I love this moment.
