Words can hardly express how magical and fun Alex & Macey’s perfect same-sex wedding was! I am so glad I got to be a part of it.
The beautiful autumn day was relaxed, emotional and full of joy. Alex and Macey got ready separately at Macey’s parents’ home. They shared a first look and personal vows on the front porch.
Our photo session was a blast and the ceremony and reception that followed at Bison Lodge in Edmonton, were just beautiful! There were moments of big laughter. There was also emotional support and tear patrol.
Additionally, the touching speeches and MC, officiant and beer boy duties made the day special. Friends and family played a special role on their wedding day. This included their sweet (and I mean super sweet) dog Frannie. She had ‘best dog’ job at the ceremony!

It’s been incredible to be a very small part of this couple’s extremely beautiful love story. Getting to know these two incredible people has been such a pleasure. Congratulations Alex & Macey!

Getting ready photos

These first look moments…
I truly love first looks with loved ones. The emotions on parents and friends faces never get old for me. Following some big hugs from family, Macey and Alex had their vows and first look together (as the some peering eyes peaked through the windows). It was such a beautiful moment to capture.

Beautiful Ceremony at Bison Lodge

A kind review:
“There are not enough good words to describe Lauren and her team! We worked with Lauren and Bruce for our wedding day and we are so thankful we did! Lauren made me and my wife feel completely comfortable – which I am sure will make for even better photos as our smiles and laughs were all natural! Lauren not only provided prompt and informative responses from the start – but always made us feel comfortable and respected. She captured our large wedding party and family throughout the day – including our fur baby (dog) Frannie – and ensured Frannies beauty was captured fully to!
Lauren HUSTLED to get the best shots; whether it was climbing railings, running back and forth to get the angles, or having us do a trust exercise on not hitting her camera when running with the wedding party – all effort was made to ensure the best shots were captured!
Lauren’s team also went with the flow, working with a revised photoshoot location. She even stayed late without being asked to capture a dance circle idea from the DJ – proving she is not there because of a contract – but she is there for YOU! On top of that, her prices were the most reasonable out of the four photographer quotes we obtained. Overall – if you need a photographer who loves what she does, provides prompt responses, at the most reasonable price – Lauren is your person. We had the best day and I cannot wait to see our photos!”

An emotional and fun reception
