Sonia & Jastar’s intimate Indian Wedding was an amazing week of celebrating a incredible couple!
Sonia shared her favourite moments with me and had this to say about their wedding day:
“I was so excited to finally get all of our closest family and friends together to celebrate us as our wedding had been postponed from 2020 to 2021 due to COVID-19. Jas and I had a court marriage in June 2020 due to COVID-19 and we were not sure we would ever get to have our traditional Indian wedding.
Once restrictions were lifted in 2021 we decided to go forward with our traditional Indian wedding (we were already legally married for 13 months at this point). For us it was very important to celebrate our love for one another with our nearest and dearest. While our wedding was relatively small for an Indian wedding we don’t think that it could have been any more perfect. Our wedding was more than just a celebration for Jas and I, it was a way to connect all of our friends and family after all of the hardships COVID-19 had put everyone through. It was a big reunion between both families and Jas and I are so lucky that our wedding was able to bring everyone together.”

Seeing her Husband
“Seeing Jas the morning of the wedding at the gurdwara was one of the most specials moments of the day. I knew he would make a very handsome groom but I was really floored at how amazing he looked. Anyone that knows Jas knows that he never ever wears traditional Indian clothing. My grandfather passed away in 2008. He was very special to me. He always had a curly handlebar mustache and that was my favorite part of my grandfather. Jas knew this and he surprised me on our wedding day and sported the same mustache that my grandfather always had. That was one of the most touching moment for me it melted my heart.”

“All in all our wedding was more than what we could have dreamed for. All of our vendors were wonderful (especially Lauren!!) and were so accommodating as we had to postpone our wedding by a year. We couldn’t have asked for a better wedding week!”

“Lauren was amazing to work with. She listened to what we wanted and made our vision come to reality. I would recommend her for any wedding or events you have!”
