Congrats to this absolutely classic couple on their wedding at River’s Edge Devon. The Teja & Kris blog post is a long one. There were too many great moments!
It was a very warm summer day and the sun was out for these two. Teja was so excited and giddy to get into her dress and to see Kris. Kris was emotional too and broke down during the sweet first look moment. Teja & Kris’ first dance under River’s Edge Devon dome tents was so beautiful and they got everyone on the dance floor with large LED glow sticks.
The moment you see yourself and the moment your sister realizes the day is really here.
An Emotional First Look
The idea for this photo of Teja & Kris posing on the couch came to me when I saw the dramatic window light coming in through the door at the Groom’s den at River’s Edge Devon. The image won an award in the ‘Artistic Guild’ Category of the Wedding Photojournalist Association (WPJA) award for wedding photography!
Dang, Teja is gorgeous!
The interaction of both Kris and Teja with their lovely parents and siblings (as well as each with their spouse’s family) was one of my favourite aspects of their day. Important day tend to make us reflect on those who are most important to us and remind us who will be there into our marriages and the futures. It was lovely to witness these bonds.
River’s Edge Devon is a stunning venue just outside the city and it is so well laid out, and absolutely gorgeous for photos! That view of the river, wow.
We love shooting weddings at outdoor/ tented/ acreage wedding venues! In this case, Teja & Kris had us there for the whole event. I think that’s really important for wedding such as this. I talk more about that in this article!
