Leslie & Davis. Documentary Wedding Photography at Obsidian Ridge.

Edmonton Wedding

We had a lot of fun photographing these two and their friends and family. They were up to try anything and to go along with my ideas. They also trusted me to capture their wedding day in a ‘documentary wedding photography’ way, grabbing images from moments shared between friends, the tears shed as Leslie’s look came together, and the emotional reactions during the speeches from their family and parents. It’s truly a blessing to not only be witness to these special days, but that my couples have the confidence to grant me the trust to point my camera at these intimate moments. Documentary wedding photography is important because it captures not only how the day looked (and we focus on that too) but also how it felt.

Leslie & Davis’ wedding day was good vibes from moment one. When I walked into the tent where Leslie was getting ready, there was this electricity of excitement, and the room was busy with activity—all of which was good energy. Music was playing, and laughter and conversation filled the air as I entered.

Venue: Obsidian Ridge

Leslie is a Converse girl so she really has my heart there. And she also sported a pearl cape which was stunning in the autumn light and so fun!

Another favourite moment was the first look Leslie shared with her Dad just moments before the ceremony. Everyone, I mean everyone, including Leslie’s bridesmaids, were shedding tears.

We love shooting weddings at Obsidian Ridge. So, if you’d like us to photograph yours, get in touch. And you can see more of our work at this venue HERE!
