Intimate, thoughtful, laid-back and heartfelt. Those are the adjectives I’d use to describe Sarah & Jason’s Wedding at Pioneer Valley Barn! I started the day with these two with a first look, followed by photos at Jason’s family acreage. It’s a beautiful wood home in a tucked away spot that was also the perfect spot for the ceremony. With its charming mountain ash trees, their lovely crimson berries to complement all the red in the tartans that were worn by Jason’s groomsmen and family. A well-tended gated garden was the perfect back drop to their first look. In early fall light, you couldn’t imagine a more lovely and personal spot for the vows.
Following some mingling and champagne with the intimate group of guests, the bride and groom made their way over to Pioneer Valley Barn for more photos and everyone followed for the outdoor/open-door barn reception. I loved the beautiful red barn (perfect again). That time of year the heavy-headed sunflowers were aglow with golden light during our sunset session. A golden hour shoot is always a great option to get more portraits during that perfect light and to sneak away for some one-on-one time as newlyweds.
The speeches were personal and featured a stunning poem made for the couple (as they are both poetry lovers). Sarah and Jason met at the hospital where they both work. Observing them together on their wedding, I know their meeting was kismet. And family members express some of the same sentiments. It was certainly fate that these two found each other as they are just perfect together!

Backyard Ceremony
Sarah & Jason had an intimate ceremony at the family acreage and a relaxed barn reception at Pioneer Valley Barn. It was such a pleasure to capture the celebration of their incredible love story.
